  • We are now preparing Interior Design Proposals for local start up company 23rd Street Pizza in student central Fallowfield, Manchester. Working with the owners to complete a full refurbishment, the general feel of the new interior is to be fresh, lively and hip; the restaurant will be well lit and incorporate the warm colours of the existing logo as well as a feature brick wall. The brands' main offerings are 18 and 20 inch pizzas along with hotdogs, fries, salads, mocktails, cakes and cheesecakes so should succeed in attracting the youth market as well as families.   • An official launch party was held on Friday to mark the grand opening of Oishi-Q; Manchester's first Japanese Yakitori eatery located near the Oxford Road. We headed over to join the celebrations and enjoyed some great tasters including chicken, pancetta and quails eggs to name a few. The team at Decor Fusion not only developed the interior scheme but also the Oishi-Q brand; enhancing the character of the restaurant significantly. The premises was fitted out by the previous owners but is now outdated so we intend to complete a full refurbishment to bring new life to the space.   • The Manchester Duck Race celebrated its fourth successive year on Good Friday 29th March; a great activity-filled day held on our home turf, Spinningfileds. Thousands of yellow rubber ducks swam along the River Irwell in aid of local children’s charity Brainwave. We entered our giant decorator duck kitted out with dungarees, hard hat and a paint brush into the corporate race and crossed our fingers for a winning position.   • An exclusive taster evening was held yesterday to mark the opening of Origin 7; a new world buffet restaurant at The Light Shopping Centre in Leeds. On site for 4 months, we have worked intensively to transform the old unit into a bright and contemporary dining experience. Our concept comprises colourful ceiling bands over 3 floors to form a cohesive space of vibrant colours reflective of the individual cuisines on offer.
